Cats Update Race 2 South Coast Region Clubs Team Series

Race 2 of the South Coast Region Clubs Team Series, congratulations to the CATS’ John Navarrete making it on the B Grade podium.

A big effort by Peter Gywnne in a three man break which was eventually brought back; Kane Richards and Peter Roper earned points in the First KOM, and Sprint points were also awarded to Kane Richards and Peter Gwynne during the two Intermediate Sprints. A quick calculation of KOM points should see young gun Kane Richards hold onto his KOM jersey going into Race 3. All in all, a solid effort by our CATS team

A big thanks for Gold Coast Goldstars for hosting today’s cracker of a race.

Race 3 of the South Coast Region Clubs Team Series is in three weeks, which will see all four teams go head to head during a 70 minute Criterium around the undulating Nerang circuit on Sunday, 4 September. Normal club racing rolls away at 7.15am. Team Series rolls away at 7.45am. Riders with a Cycling Australia Race licence is welcome to race with us at 7.15am.
