Climb Beechmont

So what is so good about this climb?

The views are fantastic and will grab your attention as you climb higher…and Beechmont is a great climb to attack.

The lower Beechmont climb is a very popular and a very convenient training climb. (great for hill repeats)

It is a 6.5km climb and is very busy most mornings of the week.

Climb Binna Burra

So what is so good about this climb?

This is one of the toughest Gold Coast rides, that takes you over the same route as the “Lower Beechmont” and Upper Beechmont Climbs.

You will get the whole Beach to Bush experience on this ride plus a suitable dose of pure farm aromas via the many freshly laid cow patties! (Beware of cows etc on the roads)

Binna Burra is a climb that you can attack in several sections, but make sure you measure your efforts as the last 2 km’s into the Lodge Car Park are sharp

The climb is a smorgasbord of landscapes and vista’s that will be drawing your attention away from any pedal pain…

Climb O'Reily's Rainforest

So what is so good about this climb?

O’Reilly’s is a real test of endurance with some cracker climbing stages, both in difficulty and distance. The O’Reilly’s climb is a visual feast as you climb higher and higher leaving the country landscapes behind and plunging yourself upward into a “Jurassic Styled World” embracing you with a very welcome crisp cool air experience.  The climb is not difficult, but it is 26 km’s of country farm land, natural bush, rain-forests and Kangaroo’s. So what is so good about this climb?

Springbrook is probably the most popular climb on the Gold Coast

It’s just one of those climbs that has something for everyone, with several  turnaround points such as the Bus stop, the first Cafe and lookout loop, the Fudge Shop and the king of all the Springbrook climbs… “Best of All Lookout”  the most popular turnaround is a flip of the coin between the Bus Stop or the Fudge shop, (the Fudge shop is approx 3 km’s further up)

Climb Mt Tamborine

So what is so good about this climb?

Mt Tambourine via Henry Roberts Drive is a very, very challenging climb, with a lot of riders dismounting on the steepest sections of the climb. Many cyclists also choose to climb via the Canungra entry  and ride down Henry Roberts drive which can be accessed via the Beechmont / Binna Burra climb routes.

Climb the Mighty Tomewin

So what is so good about this climb?

The “Wall” is the very first stage you encounter on this climb, 900 metres of personal challenge as you overcome a 14% gradient…after that, well you are in Cycling Heaven, with the average gradient flattening out to a cruisey 10% as you climb to the Queensland / New South Wales border crossing.

The Tomewin Climb is normally accessed via Currumbin Valley  where you will be riding through gentle undulating roads that cut through pastoral and natural bush clad areas, before arriving at the foot of a very heavily tree clad Tomewin.

Once you have climbed through the border point and over the top you will be treated to a long descent with huge expansive and very impressive…
