DESCRIPTION OF ILLINBAH
The Illinbah downhill track is considered to be among the best in Australia and offers mountain biking at the most ‘extreme’ level which is both a rider and spectator bonanza!  Steep, rocky and forests full of ‘alien’ tree roots with jumps, berms and drops over a distance of 2km with a vertical drop of 500m keeps riders focused at all times but still brings many undone with spectacular crashes and riding feats!

This is a private trail open to club members and visitors on schedule GCMTBC days only.  It is rated advanced and respected by all in the downhill mountain bike scene.  It is not to be taken lightly!  Regardless of rider ability, ensure that that a survey ride is done beforepinning it down to familiarise yourself with the trail, checking for hazards on the track e.g. fallen branches, fences etc.

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS
The QLD State Downhill Champsionships were held at Illinbah in 2009 and 2014.
