Nerang Criterium is a Council Run Facility
This is a first class cycling asset to the Gold Coast, incorporating the outdoor Velodrome, a Criterium track wrapped around it, which also includes the fantastic adjoining MTB tracks that also provide challenging running opportunities.
The Nerang Criterium Circuit surrounds the Outdoor Velodrome Track and is part of an overall facility containing a Velodrome, Criterium Circuit and MTB tracks of an international standard
There are 2 Asphalt circuits: which both include a 200 m hill.
- 900 mtr Circuit
- 1500 mtr circuits which both include a 200 m hill.
The Nerang Criterium Circuit also hosted the pre-2000 Olympic Games training for Great Britain Cycling (Road) and Triathlon Teams, and the Sweden Cycling (track) Team.
- Adjacent to the Nerang State Forest MTB facility
- Access is directly off Hope Street Nerang on the Western side of the circuit
- ‘Gold Coast Cycling Club Saturday mornings all welcome
- A popular venue for the Gold Coast Cycling Club and ‘Gold Coast Masters’ alternate on Sunday mornings
- This facility is open to the public 7 days per week
- Lighting: You will need to organise through the GCCC (see bookings tab)
- Change room facilities are suitable for small teams (1–10 athletes per male or female rooms)
- Accessibility features Full wheelchair access.
Mountain Biking – MTB
The adjoining Nerang State Forest, with its hilly terrain and well-maintained trails is a favourite recreational area for mountain bike riders.
